Lake mburo national park is a smallest park in western part in Uganda. The park is gazzetted in 1933sqkm and game reserved in 1963. The park covers an area of 370 sqkm above the sea level. The region was settled by Banyankole Bahima pastoralists who traditionally herd Ankole cattle, and still do the park hosts zebra, hippopotamus, impala, warthog, common eland, African buffalo and over 300 bird species.
