Kibale National Park is definitely the first-class chimpanzee tracking destination, set suitably in Western Uganda. It is the habitat for mountain gorillas spread over a series of steep ridges and valleys and is considered the most diverse forest in Africa.
Queen Elizabeth national park is known for an incredible variety of habitats which in turn is home to an astonishing diversity of wildlife from grassy savannah plains to stunning tropical forests. It contains a lot of activities such as game drives, boat cruises, nature walks, chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura gorge and Kalinzu forest, and others.

Day 1: visitors’ arrival
Visitors arrive at Entebbe international airport and are transferred to Kampala. They can participate in a city tour if time allows them if they arrive early at the Entebbe Airport. Dinner and overnight at Nile safari lodge.
Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National park
A guide will pick you up from your hotel after breakfast and embark on the journey to Kibale national park. Prepare to take photos of Uganda’s beautiful, and green countryside along the way. such as indigenous communities’ crop plantations, bushlands, and wetlands You will have lunch at Fort Portal town and then be taken for a city tour around the beautiful sceneries of the Tooro kingdom. later you check-in for Dinner and overnight at Primates lodge, Ndali lodge. and Chimpanzee Guest House (Budget).
Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking at Kibale national park
Wake up for early breakfast and after heading to the Kanyanchu visitors office for a short briefing on chimpanzee rules and how to behave in chimpanzee appearances. Kibale forest is known for chimpanzees and they are taken to be endangered. These are the most misbehaving cousins in the forest other than mountain gorillas at the drop of a hat.
The forest has other small primates such as red colobus monkey, red-tailed monkey olive baboon, bush baby, gray-cheeked mangabey and other animals guide will escort l you on an on-foot-walk to see chimpanzees, you will head to the forest following where chimpanzees last nested and you may spend 2-4 hours to find them or even less.
The shadows of chimpanzees appearing in the trees as troops forage and explore are mesmerizing, but the pant hoots and calls in the troops of up to 60 individuals are scarely but interesting. Chimpanzees are easy to find since they prefer swinging on the top of the tree branches, and take many pictures and videos you want. Depending on what time you return, the afternoon can be spent relaxing at the lodge for lunch, and later you can take a guided wake through Bigodi wetlands, crater lakes, and nearby communities. Day 4: Kibale to Queen Elizabeth national park
You will wake up early for morning coffee and prepare to transfer to queen Elizabeth national park which is situated in the western part of the great east African rift valley. You will drive via the Ishasha sector for an evening drive, among the many large mammals, primates, and antelopes found in the Ishasha area are tree-climbing lions. The lions like to take a break up in the fig trees so they can view what they might eat and avoid being bitten by insects. The only places to see tree-climbing lions are the Ishasha sector of Uganda’s Queen Elizabeth National Park and Tanzania’s Kruger National Park. Dinner and overnight at kyambura lodge (mid-range), and Mweya Safari Lodge (Luxury) options.
Day 5: Game drive and Afternoon Boat cruise
You are going to get up early so that you can eat breakfast and get ready for a busy and lengthy day. the guide will accompany you on a morning game drive in the hopes of spotting nocturnal animals as they make their way back to their burrows. This is the greatest time to spot early risers like birds and other creatures, and this time of day is best for doing so. There is a good chance that you may encounter hippos, lions, leopards, buffalos, and antelopes of a variety of species.
After the wildlife drive, you will head back to the lodge for lunch and some rest, and then at 2:00 in the afternoon, you will embark on a boat ride down the Kazinga Channel. This is where all of the animals congregate, particularly during the dry season, because this is the only water source. Prepare yourself to see a variety of bird species that will rival anything else you’ve seen in other places. You will also observe animals that live in or near water, such as crocodiles and hippos, in addition to all of the other animals that you saw while drinking by the water banks earlier. After this, you ought to be worn out and prepared to return to your lodgings for a rest or to take a tour around.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National park
You will wake up early and have your breakfast, catch the morning game drives in Queen Elizabeth national park for a savannah wilderness experience. Here you will experience different animals such as leopards, hyenas that are spotted after hunting at night, and elephants, and after taking a traditional game drive passing through the Ishasha area looking out for the famous tree-climbing lions perched in wide fig tree branches continue the route to Bwindi impenetrable national park check-in, take shower to relax and prepare to face gorillas in the next day gorilla trekking activity. Day 7: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable forest
Set off early for morning breakfast and proceed to the park’s office for a morning briefing on how to behave and what to do when you come closer to the gorillas. you may track one of the habituated groups such as Habinyanja, Mabare, Rushegura, and others. when tracking, visitors split into two groups each with eight members, those groups will be escorted by a guide and a park ranger who will be directing you on what to do.
Walking through the forests for the first time is amazing and thrilling as the mist disappears to reveal the prehistoric vegetation towering above, you will follow the gorilla trails that may be hidden in the plant shadows. You will be given only 1 hour to interact with the gorillas face facing observing, learning, taking pictures, and interacting with the gorillas while keeping within the recommended safe distance of 7 meters. After set back to the head office where your driver will pick up and take you back to your lodge. All the sweat, and mud you encounter is worth it coming face to face with the mountain gorillas is no other wildlife experience. Get back to your lodge for an afternoon relaxation, and if time still allows, go experience the best cultural walks in the Batwa pygmies community.

Day 8: Departure
Wake up in the morning well prepared to sign out from the lodge, take breakfast, and after travel back to Kampala. The 8-9hrs of drive on Kabale-Mbarara route, you will have to stopover at a hotel in Mbarara, at the Equator for photo taking & en-route shopping for souvenirs then transferred to a hotel in Kampala at the airport for departure.
