Boom a month of Love rises with a baby gorilla in Bwindi.

LOVE AND JOY CELEBRATION OF A BABY GORILLA IN BWINDI.

Boom,while Ugandans were busy celebrating LOVE Day of 14th February, an adult female Tomvi of the Mukiza mountain gorilla pack was busy pushing baby gorilla in Bwindi Impenetrable national park. Bashir Hangi the UWA communication manager revealed to the nation how healthy the baby Gorilla is.

“The birth of the new baby gorilla brings to 19 the number of Gorilla in the Mukiza mountain gorilla pack.” Mr. Bashir continuously said.

He added saying that for the past few days, the image of baby gorilla has not been identified due to tight guarded mother and protective father to the infant baby however the new birth has increased on the family population adding up to 19 individuals.

“The birth of the female Gorilla is a result of the successful gorilla conservation and baby animals in the country.” He revealed on twitter. The infant baby gorilla as little as it shows activeness and curious fellas which has brought hope to conservationist that it will be a blessing since it a female bundle.

Celebrating a love day as Ugandans have been a blessing to Tourism industry due to a baby gorillas’ birth in Bwindi impenetrable national park. What a new year’s joy bundle this is!

About Bwindi Impenetrable national park.

Bwindi impenetrable national park is positioned in south western part of Uganda neighboring Congo and Rwanda. The park is famously known for harboring mountain gorillas which are known to close relative of humans due to 98% DNA. The park has four sectors where mountain gorilla families are divided for example Ruhija sector, Rushaga sector, Nkuringo sector and Buhoma sector. Population census of mountain gorillas in the park are about 400 individuals with those in Mgahinga national park making 17 gorilla families thus half of the world gorilla population census.

Besides Bwindi Impenetrable national park, mountain gorillas can also be trekked in Virunga conservation are in mgahinga national park, Volcano national park in Rwanda and Virunga national park in Democratic Republic of Congo. The world gorilla population adds up to 1063 individuals living in the tropical forest.

Visitors interested in gorilla trekking are expected to pack cameras but to use them with no lash lights, comfortable hiking boots since it involves footing searching for gorillas in the forest, hiking sticks, long trouser, long stockings, rain coat since trekking may take half day or full that is difficult to predict the weather, caps, claves, water $ snacks and many more.

How costly is a gorilla permit in Uganda?

Gorilla permits in Uganda, Rwanda and Congo vary in costing. While in Uganda, gorilla permits costs east Africans pay 250,000 uganda shillings and foreigners pay $700 per person and at one hour while with gorillas in the forest. In the land of thousand hills, gorilla permit costs $1500 per person both East Africans and Foreigners. In Congo, foreigners pay $450 per person, Congolese at $150 per person and SADC pay $200 per person although it is cheaper than other countries, it is less visited due to insecurity in a country.

While on a Uganda safari, visitors are advised to book their Uganda gorilla permits in time about 6 months before the travel to avoid inconveniences since each gorilla family is limited to 8 individuals per day and only children above 15 years are allowed to trek.
