Your journey will begin and end in Entebbe and will pass through Murchison Falls National Park. Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary will be your first stop before continuing on to Murchison Falls National Park, one of Uganda’s best national parks for game viewing, where you can see lions, leopards, giraffes, and more. The highlight of the trip will be a boat ride to the base of the falls, which offers another chance to witness wildlife as it gathers to drink from the River Nile.
The next stop is the primate’s capital, Kibale Forest National Park, where visitors can track chimpanzees and go on a nature walk to see more wildlife, including birds and other primates like monkeys.
The journey continues to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of the most popular national parks, which offers opportunities for game viewing via game drives in the Kasenyi plains and boat cruises on the Kazinga channel. The visit to this park will be crowned with a visit to the Ishasha sector for the rare tree-climbing lions, and from Ishasha we continue. One of the best parks for tracking mountain gorillas in their natural habitat is Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. While there, you can also discover more about the locals’ customs and cultures, especially those of the indigenous Batwa people.
The deepest lake in East Africa, Lake Bunyonyi, offers visitors the chance to take in the most beautiful landscape and an optional boat excursion around various islands. The Lake Mburo National Park game drives and boat ride are waiting for you as we go from Lake Bunyonyi to this small but fascinating national park in Uganda. The Mabamba Swamp, where you will board a local canoe to seek for the rare Shoebill Stork, will be your final stop on this journey.

Day 01: Arrival at Entebbe Airport
Our representative will meet and greet you when you arrive at Entebbe Airport. He will serve as both your tour and driving guide for the remaining days of your stay. You will be transferred to your hotel in Entebbe for an overnight stay on a bed and breakfast basis following the interaction and briefing regarding your 14-day African Big Five and gorilla safari.

Day 02: Entebbe to Murchison Falls National Park
Your driving guide will meet you up from the hotel following breakfast in order to take you to Murchison Falls National Park. You will travel through the well-known Luwero Triangle and make a stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary on this journey. Enjoy a 1- to 2-hour stroll after arriving at the refuge while you look for rhinos. Only here can one view these in their natural habitat. Take a break for lunch before continuing on to Masindi town and the Murchison Falls National Park. The water will force its way down a 7-meter chasm and drop to more than 43 meters below with a thunderous roar, creating a stunning rainbow as you observe it from the top of the falls. Arrive at your lodge for dinner and a night’s stay.

Day 03: Game drive and Launch cruise to the bottom of the falls
Up early in the morning and set out for the game drive before daybreak. You will enjoy a variety of wildlife it has to offer including Lions, Leopards, Buffalos, Elephants, tower of Giraffes, Antelopes, and Bushbucks, and also bird species. After the game drive, return to the Lodge for a late breakfast and relaxation. After Lunch, set out for the afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of the falls along the Victoria Nile. This 3hrs boat cruise will enable you to have a glance at a number of water animals such as Hippos, Crocodiles, Buffalos and bird species like kingfishers, Hornbills, Goliath herons, Egyptian geese, pelicans and many others. After, return to your Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 04: Depart for Kibale Forest National Park
Early morning, have your breakfast at the lodge and depart for Kibale National Park. The Journey will take you through the Western Rift Valley’s Albertine Escarpment as well as the green countryside and traditional homesteads of the local people within the Bunyoro and Toro Kingdoms. Upon arriving in Fort Portal, clear days will give you a glimpse of the legendary snow-capped Mountain also famously known as the “Mountains of the Moon” (Mt Rwenzori). Kibale Forest National Park is home to 13 primate species including Chimpanzees. The Forest is also home to over 325 bird species including the rare Green Breasted Pitta. You will arrive at your Lodge in the evening.

Day 05: Chimpanzee tracking and nature walk
You will be transferred to the park headquarters of Kanyanchu for a 30-40 mins briefing and get to know more about the chimpanzees and their ways of living within the forest. After this, you will then embark on your journey to search for these primates through the forest. On spotting the chimps, you are only given one Hour to be with them as you take videos and pictures. Along the way other primate species can be spotted such as the L’Hoest’s Monkeys, Red-tailed Monkeys, Blue Vervet Monkeys, and Black & White colobus Monkeys among others. Other animals that can be seen are Forest Elephants, Buffalos, and a lot of bird species. After the tracking, return to your Lodge for Lunch and afternoon set out for a nature and bird walk within the Bigodi Swamp. The wetland is a project being run by local communities and is very known for its rich diversity of bird species and other primates. It also provides employment and job opportunities to the local youth through being park guides. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 06: Craters and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Visit the Kasenda craters following your morning breakfast. You can observe many of the area’s little crater lakes by taking a short climb to the “Top of the World” viewpoint. Visit the stunning Lake Nyambuga, which is where the lake pictured on the 20.000 Uganda shilling note was taken. Continue on to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of the best national parks for wildlife in the nation with over 600 bird species, mammals including lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and many others, as well as a variety of other wildlife. At your lodge, have dinner and spend the night.

Day 07: Game drive and Boat ride along the Kazinga channel
Start your morning game drive in the Kasenyi region after an early breakfast. Keep an eye out for wildlife creatures including lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, warthogs, waterbucks, and bushbucks, among others. After lunch, depart on the launch cruise via the Kazinga channel. The waterway links Lake George with Lake Edward. One of the largest hippo populations and bird species in Africa can be found in the waterway. You can see water-loving animals like hippos, elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles, and other antelopes as well as several bird species during this 3-hour boat tour. After dinner and before retiring for the night, return to your lodge.

Day 08: Ishasha Sector and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
As soon as breakfast is finished, leave the park’s northern side and travel to Ishasha’s southern sector. Mid-morning game drive looking for the uncommon tree-climbing lions. Set out for the renowned Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in the afternoon. The park is well renowned for housing the critically endangered Mountain Gorilla species. Check-in at the lodge and prepare yourself for the following day of gorilla trekking

Day 09: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Prepare for the perhaps most important highlight of your safari by getting up early to see the amazing Gentle Giants! After breakfast, we head to the park offices where you will receive a briefing on the dos and don’ts of the jungle before embarking on a life-changing journey that will live in infamy. It is an incredible experience that is difficult to describe verbally due to the vegetation, terrain, smells, colors, and the animated entertainment provided by the gorillas and other inhabitants of the jungle as you trek through the steep, densely forested hills of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest until you finally come across the gorillas hidden in the foliage. After tracking and lunch, we will return to your lodge
Do not leave these items behind; sunscreen, insect repellent, your passport, camera, hiking boots, long safari pants, and long-sleeved shirts or T-shirts plus a light rain jacket. Please avoid very bright and hot colored clothes- These not only attract insects to you but also can be offensive to the residents of the jungle. These items will come in handy as you go through the thick forest and encounter the unpredictable weather of Bwindi forest anytime.

Day 10: Bwindi to Lake Bunyonyi
After a joyful and unforgettable Gorilla trekking experience the previous day, it will be time for you to have a shore relaxing time on Lake Bunyonyi. You will have your morning breakfast and later drive to Lake Bunyonyi which is the 2nd deepest Lake in Africa. The Lake is found in Kabale also famously known as the “Switzerland of Africa” as named by Sir Winston Churchill because of its coldness and eye-catching landscapes. Lake Bunyonyi is also a well-known birder’s paradise as its name Bunyonyi means birds. The journey to the lake from Bwindi will give you magnificent views of the locally terraced interlocking hills which are used by local farmers. Spend the rest of the evening relaxing at the Lodge.

Day 11: Full day Exploring Lake Bunyonyi
Morning breakfast and head out for a canoe ride to different islands on the Lake. Lake Bunyonyi Harbors around 29 different islands and each is believed to have its own history. One of these is Punishment Island – you will be told about its story while canoeing by your local tour guide. Afternoon relaxation at the Lodge.

Day 12: Lake Bunyonyi to Lake Mburo National Park.
The smallest national park in Uganda, Lake Mburo, will be your destination after an early breakfast. You will pass through breathtaking landscapes and vistas of the Ankole Kingdom, which has livestock ranches and other crop crops. Arrive at your Lake Mburo lodge in time for lunch. Set off in the afternoon for the Lake Mburo boat tour. Watch carefully for animals like buffalos and hippos. The park is renowned for housing the greatest concentration of zebras in Uganda. Impalas, Orbis, Giraffes (just relocated from Murchison Falls), and numerous bird species are among the other wildlife that can be spotted. Sleep at your Lodge tonight.

Day 13: Lake Mburo to Entebbe
Morning breakfast and have a game drive as you exit the park. Look out for animals that are habitat in the park such as Impalas, Zebras, Oribi, Topi, Elands, and so on. Lake Mburo also is one of the few parks where one can do a guided nature walk and still most of the animals as if you are on the game drive. The park also is a habitat to more than 300 bird species and is also very famous for birders. Later drive back to Entebbe having Lunch en route. Stop over at the Equator for the water experience as well as Photography. Proceed to your Lodge in Entebbe.

Day 14: Mabamba Swamp and Departure
Transfer to the Mabamba Swamp in the early morning to go birdwatching in a local canoe in search of the endangered Shoebill Stork and other bird species that live there. After lunch, return to Entebbe, then, in accordance with the time of your flight, make the trip to the airport in order to catch your return flight.
