PREPARING FOR AIR TRAVEL.
Travelling is always going to be an exciting and exploring moment for many. The complexities associated with travel, especially in preparation for travel are one of the reasons that every traveller should note in the list before the set-off.
Due to heightened sophistication in travel and security measures, air travel of late has evolved so much that it’s an assignment of its own.

Prepare Early.
Knowing where you’re going first, knowing the weather for the country you’re going to, immigration rules, health rules of the country, banking rules, customs requirements and entry requirements are very important before travel.
After deciding where to go then plan when should you travel, are the tickets cheaper if it’s a low season? Are you on a quick? If not explore connecting flights which are cheaper than direct flights.
Knowing the time to set off is very important because flights set off on time so as a traveller, it’s you to decide whether night or day depending on what you want. However, night travel is advantageous that the journey seems to be shorter than day travel. Some day travellers enjoy viewing the sky in the air which makes their travel interesting.
Before setting up from home, check if have all your travel documents, passport, entry visa, air ticket and boarding pass (better printed out so you don’t have to fidget with your phone at the controls), vaccine cards and all.
Arrive Early.
According to trip advisors, they advise travellers to always arrive at the airport about 4 hours before departure to avoid inconveniences. There is always a possibility of missing a flight for those travellers who arrive a few minutes before the departure of the flight because if at all you forget an important document needed at the airport, it will be hard for you to go back home and then back to the airport since flights always set off at exactly time. However, an early bird will have enough time to sort out some of his queries.
While at the airport, the security gates are also restricted once the traveller is late at the airport so to avoid inconveniences; you’re advised to arrive at least 4 hours before the departure. To avoid late coming to the airport, set an alarm or tell a friend to wake you up to be on the safe side.
Use a cab.
Using a cab makes the journey quicker to the airport or driving yourself to the airport also keeps time when you’re allowed to leave your car at the parking yard where it’s kept safe until you return. Those preferring travelling at night can set off at 2 am depending on departure flight time.
Dress well.
It is very important for a traveller to dress well during the flight because of the environmental class of fellow travellers. It is advised to wear flexible clothes which would easily help in case of anything like a fire spread.
A traveller should surely be smelling good because of meeting different people at the airport and during the flight. It is good to carry a sweater or jacket plus a shawl because crafts can be annoyingly cold or you might arrive in some cold weather at the airport however avoid carrying things like metal belts, earrings, necklaces, and pins whether on your body or shoes.
Pack smart.
After knowing where to go, it’s important to know for how long you’re going to be there then there you can know what to pack to avoid packing useless things. Making a packing list of necessary requirements you need on your travel, helps you not to forget the important things however at the airport something are not allowed
As a traveller, you’re advised to first pack your travel documents and other categories may follow like clothes, shoes, undergarments and medicals. To keep your clothes organized, you can pack them in a round shape which creates more space for other stuff however medicine packages should be separate, and electrical items alone for security and easy checkups in order not to hold the cheque because of your disorganized bag.
Finalizing the packing, check again and see if all your stuff as travel documents, medication, cash, passport, Air-ticket, phone and power bank and Visa Card are all in as you add on a first aid box. Without forgetting make your luggage lighter to avoid being checked because of heavyweight.
Note: If at all it’s you’re first time flying in an aeroplane, pack a First Aid kit with pain killers, allergy tabs, bandages, sedatives, chewing gum( for air pressure ) and tissue to be on the safer side.
