The 5-day safari to see primates in Uganda will begin and end in Kampala.
After going on a mountain gorilla hike in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, we’ve added a cultural visit to the Batwa people and a wildlife walk in the Bigodi swamp to see more primates. Let’s talk more about the main location according to the travel itinerary;
The ideal destination to see habituated wild chimpanzees is Kibale National Park. With about 15000 chimps, Kibale Forest is frequently referred to as the Primates’ capital of the world and is considered the best location in the world to see wild chimpanzees. Thus, chimpanzee tracking is Kibale National Park’s main draw. Twelve different primate species, including the nocturnal potto and patas monkeys, butterflies, moths, woodland critters, and uncommon tree species, can all be seen by travelers.
Bwindi is one of Uganda’s popular national parks. The park contains the greatest population of mountain gorillas in the world and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Although they are infrequently spotted while gorilla trekking and on a nature stroll through the forest, Bwindi also boasts chimpanzees, other smaller primates, and forest mammals. In Bwindi, more than 20 gorilla groups are accessible to tourists. Visits to the Batwa pygmy community offer a unique opportunity to explore their culture, making them one of the best things to do in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Once you’ve gone gorilla trekking in the morning, you may use the opportunity to read about their fascinating history.
